Failed to configure ILM, will attempt during next rerun. Exception: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The event log file is full

Hi,

I cannot get the User Profile Synchronization Service to start.

In the logs I found this entry:

Failed to configure ILM, will attempt during next rerun. Exception: System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The event log file is full 

I have tried provisioning a new service, the error is the same.
