Average of calculated column values

I have a calculated column.  For each row, which calculated column displays the result of some calculations done on some other columns in that row.  Now I would like to be able to calculate the average of these calculated values (average of all the numbers in that column).  Is there some way to do further calculations on the calculated values column?
