can a term set be used in a form?

I have a hierarchical term set that I would like to use in a form--having them select one level, and then cascade in fields until a value appears as a final result.

I want the user to, for example:

Field 1, select level one of the term set.

Field 2, select filtered level 2of the hierarchy,

Field 3, select filtered  level 3 of the hierarchy.

then auto fill the fourth level.

Questions:

Can the term set be used in either SharePoint forms or InfoPath forms?

If so, how?

If not, what are our recommendations? Do I need to put the term set in a list with columns, and use those?
