Integrated mode SSRS Move-spsite breaks linkage between shared data source and reports

Hi

Requesting for some help/pointers in a problem being faced in moving sitecollection out of a content database to new content database.

The current content database has become about 170GB and must be split into multiple content databases for each sitecollection.

The shared data sources are kept on root site collection and the reports are spread across other site collections.

After moving the root and the site collection holding the reports into new content databases everything seems fine initially.

Once SSRS runs its nightly cleanup job at 2.00 AM, it cleans up the catalog contents from the report server database.

This results in breaking all the reports that get cleaned up from catalog table.

So far not able to find a blog or any information that such a problem exists or any possible solution resulting from move-spsite.  There are blog which complain about SSRS  cleanup job disturbing the reports, however one of them talked about uninstall and install of SSRS add in, which actually seemed promising as it worked when this was tried in staging environment

However when this solution was tried on production it resulted in same problem and thus restore of original content databases and the report database had to be done to get things back to original state.

Please let me know if there are any ideas around, what seems to be the cause of this behaviour by SSRS cleanup job and any solutions.

I could not figure out as to how the mapping between SharePoint content database (reports, datasources) its counter part in SSRS catalog database is maintained and which seems to be getting disturbed by move-spsite somehow.

I was hoping if there is a way to rebuild the catalog table.

Thanks and Regards

Vinit Patil
