Delete SharePoint 2010 UPA Sync Connections - Need for Impacts and Best Practices

Dear Team,

We have 5 Sync Connections to 5 different Domains in ourSharePoint 2010 UPA. Now, all Users using SharePoint were moved(migrated) to One single Connection pointing to One domain. After, thismanyUser profiles Values did not get updated like in Active Directory for bothIncremental and Full Synchronization.

Hence, we have planned to Delete the remaining 4 Obsolete Sync Connections inUPA and Run a Full Profile Import as next Approach.

But before deleting the remaining 4 Obsolete Connections we would like to know the below,

1) Impacts of deleting the Sync Connections.

2) Best Practices or important Points to follow while Deleting Sync Connections.
