mobile devices prompt for creditials while accessing publishing site with anonymous access enabled

Hi,

I have a publishing site have enabled anonymous access on the web application in central administration and set anonymous access entire web site in site permissions. When I access the site from my desktop works fine, site comes up fine for other colleagues without being prompted for credentials. However when I access the site form a mobile device initially request got redirected to the OOB mobile url showing all the lists and libraries. As suggested in this blog post http://blogs.perficient.com/microsoft/2011/02/three-options-for-disabling-the-sharepoint-2010-mobile-redirection-system/ basically it suggests three options

1) Including browser caps into webapp config ,located at C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80

2) Editiing compact.browser setting isMobileDevice to false on all instances, this file located at C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80\App_Browsers

3) turn off MobilityRedirect feature (it's not enabled)

I have edited both the configs as suggested and have done iisreset, when i try to access from mobile device I get prompted for credentials, also request is still redirected to _layouts\mobile\mblwp.aspx

I have multiple webapps running on port 80, I have edited the files in the correct web app(opened the location thru IIS), I just have default zone for now and haven't setup AAM. Can any one point me what the problem is pls?

Regards,

san
