After Export, list missing 30000 items

I ran an export-spweb of an old subsite, and imported it to a new site collection. ListA had 120000 items, but the imported site collection shows only 90000. All of the other list and libraries look like they came across okay.

I've started running an

export-spweb http://intranet/etc -itemurl “/site collection/subsite/listA” -Path "T:\Exportlist\" -NoFileCompression -IncludeUserSecurity

Once the export is complete, I plan to create a new list (ListB), import the data to ListB, and compare item totoal numbers with the old subsite's ListA.If all matches up, I'll delete the new site collection's ListA, rename ListB, and change the list url from http://intranet/etc/.../listB to http://intranet/etc/..../listA.

Would that work? Better way?
