Custom Breadcrumb left Navigation missing from Multiple site collection after deploying service pack 2.

Hope you are doing good.

Environment details -

SharePoint 2010 

3 WFE servers, 2 App server, 2 Database server

Recently admin team perform Service pack 2 deployment along with cumulative packs, since we have performed testing on pages before the SP 2 deployed, custom breadcrumbs left navigation panes were coming up fine on the pages.

After deployment of SP2 packs, custom left navigation pane is not visible on multiple pages under couple of site/subsite collections. although when you change the layout to some other custom layout and again return it back to the previous/default layout it brings back the custom left navigation pane.

Below are the steps i have performed so far:-

• Re-deployment of Custom branding solution (took back up from production(Since Production breadcrumb navigations are working as expected ) and deployed in ITL)
• Activated and deactivated custom branding feature from root site collection
• Tried using the same page layout,
• Verified navigation settings for effected site collection
• Performed IIS reset on all the servers
• Cleared up timer cache
• Reviewed the code for custom branding layout

I am not sure if i need to dig into the code and change something as the same solution is working fine in production.

Not sure what would be the next steps.

Please help me with some expert advise, any lead on this would be a big help.
