restore spsitecollection from wss_content to a new server farm

Hi,

 Am having SP 2010 ENT.EDITION with Sql Server installed . i am having multiple site collections created within WSS_CONTENT Content DB.

Now I want to take only one site collection [say : http:/srvr1:2016/sites/vendormanagement]  from this Content DB and port/restore it to new server farm.

I know, i can use  a SSMS backup restore, but this wss_content content will replace the new server's wss_content, and this will result in crashing the new server farm's content db.

any other approaches how to extract a  site collection within a content db and restore it to a new 2010 server farm.
