How many files are loaded on my sharepoint site?

I just got a request from management asking how many files are being stored in SharePoint.   I figured that would be a fairly simple question, but I do not seem to be able to find where this info is located.

Basically, they are looking for a folder and file count similar to what you receive under the properties of a directory in windows explorer.

Where should I look?
