FIM and User profile service

Hi 

struggling with User Profile service Application - wont start at all - tried the most

See this in the event viewer:

The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserProfileImportJob (ID ab58590a-xxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxe0fd) threw an exception. More information is included below.

Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object.

Also tried to start it manuel from Services.msc - wont start there either - the service are configured to run with the Farm account which have owner permissions on the SyncDB

In the below file at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Servers\14.0\Service\Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Service.exe.config  - I have localhost:5725 - is this correct?
