Archiving Process SharePoint 2010

Hi,

I would have to implement the archiving process in my SharePoint farm, Suppose there are some libraries having lots of records/items with Version History and I have to preserve the latest 3 months data with Version History on my original libraries and rest would be moved through the archival system with Version History.

What would be the best way to implement that, any suggestion, white papers, links please provide. I would also like to view the archive data whenever needed.

Note :- Mandatory for all version history source to destination . Content size more than 1 TB and version history Min. 500 hundreds for each items. 

Please share me your suggestion about the same.
