ADD-IN error when trying to save SP 2010 after O365 rollout

Dear,

Since the office 365 migration we are countering an issue in SharePoint 2010.  When we open a word template doc from our SharePoint and are trying to save it, we receive an ADD-IN error (see attached).  This error is indicating that the extra properties fields must be filled in.

This is a known problem and can only be saved within a sharepoint upgrade towards 2013?   Are other options available to solve this issue?
