Joining Win2012 R2 to 2008 Sharepoint 2010 Foundation Farm

I am in the process of rebuilding our Sharepoint 2010 Foundation Farm based on win 2008 servers using Win2012 R2 servers. I installed SP, CU and Language packs on win2012 R2 node. I ran SharePoint configuration to join node into a Farm. I ran into an unexpected problem. This hotfix is depricated and is not applicable to Win2012R2. The problem is, that it is not possible to uninstall hot fix from 2008 nodes. (Sharepoint hotfixes are not designed to be uninsatlled) So I cannot join the 2012R2 node because it is missing the hotfix and I cannot remove the hotfix from old nodes. What can I do? Please help!
