Need to remove some of WFE from SharePoint Farm

Hi Team,

We have SharePoint farm with 4 WFE and now most of the application, we migrated in higher version of SharePoint.

So now we are planning to remove 2 WFE from the farm as we don't have too much load.

So could you please share steps and also clarify that do we need outage plan for this activity or any impacts on existing applications?
