I have a problem where a SPF language pack was installed on all servers in a SharePoint Server farm and during step 9 of PSConfig it had to be cancelled as it wasn't the correct language pack to be installed. During step 9 PSConfig iterates throuh all sites
and updates them, which is a very slow process (days) when there are lots of sites.
Since then the language pack got uninstalled on all the servers and PSConfig was executed once more. PSConfig quickly moved up to the same level of percentage completed it slowly had moved to the first time around, but then again slowed down for the remaining
part, a process so slow it now again has been cancelled as we wish to cancel the whole upgrade.
This has left the farm in a state where in Central Administration -> Servers in farm, servers are reported as having upgrades available but the configuration database remains the same version as it originally was.
So my question is: Would the sites that got upgraded the first time, now have been downgraded? And how can I confirm this? The farm is still up and running and this far we haven't noticed any complications as an effect of all this. Also, if PSConfig is allowed to be completed, can we hope for the configuration database to remain the same version as the servers no longer has any updates installed to them? Or will it be the same as it still is now?
A _small_ comfort for this issue is that it's a test environment, but the farm is very much important in this case.
Truly grateful for any input!
