Applying Office Web Apps Cumulative Updates

Our current farm configuration is SP2010 SP1 with Office Web Apps SP1 and then the SP2010 Feb 2012 CU applied on top with no specific additonal updates to office web apps.  Therefore the is at MS11-089: Description of the security update for Office Web Apps 2010: December 13, 2011 KB2553153.  We want to bring SharePoint up to the October 2012 CU (KB2757117) but I do not know if/how to patch Office Web Apps to make sure it is at the right level to match.  I see there was an Office 2010 October 2012 CU with a particular piece that applies to Office Web Apps, however I am not sure if just that KB can/should be applied by itself (KB2687562).  If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks in advance. - Matt
