While testing the Send To > Create Document Workspace feature in a Sharepoint 2010 document library I discovered a bug that did not exist in SharePoint 2007. The steps are as follows...
After sending the document to a Document Workspace, editing the document, and then using the Send To > Publish to Source Location option to update the source document library. I then found that in the source Library, the Send To option to Create Document Workspace had been replaced with Publish to Source Location but only on this document. selecting this option then gives an error message "There is no publish location associated with..." etc, and OK button is greyed out.
Worse still, if I delete the document workspace the source library still does not have a Create Docuement Workspace option in the Send To for this document item, just the disfunctional Publish to Source Location option.
I have repeated the above steps on a SharePoint 2007 server and this does not happen. The source Library document item still has the Create Document Workspace option.
Has anyone else noticed this bug?
Note: I am using SharePoint Server 2010 with Dec CU, running on Windows Server 2008 R2 with SQL Server 2008 R2
Note also: while I was searching the internet for an answer to this I found the same issue reported on this site...
