Hello Everyone,
I have an issue where I need to apply a pretty simple Reusable workflow to a number of Discussion Board Lists and they need to kick off when an item is created and a metadata (person lookup) field is used.
the intended design is that when a user is adding an item they can use a person look up to send a specific email to "push" the question to them. . once they hit the Save button the workflow is to lookup that users Email and send them a specific message to the second user, who clicks on the link in the email and replies to that thread.
I CANNOT get this workflow to start automaically when an item is created. I have tried just about everything that i can think of, but to no avail. It works like a dream when i manually start it, but it will not start automatically.
I have a list workflow that I used for the first discussion board that neede this, then created a reusable workflow based on the list workflow to add to more Discussion Lists.
