Hello,
I'm hoping someone might be able to assist me. My Search Service Application sort of took a dump on me.
When I access my Search Service Application I notice that the 'Propagation status' states "Query Server not responding (guid-query-0), and my Search Application Topology will not load, it continues on "loading..." status.
When I visit my Query server and look at the directory (c:\program files\Microsoft Office Servers\14.0\Data\Office Server\Applications I see the folder for (guid-query-0) along with the crawl (guid-crawl-0)
I checked permissions to make sure that the farm and also the search service accounts have permissions to this directory, in which they do.
So I figured something is corrupted with my Query Component and figured I should just create a new one Search Query Topology

But I'm running into this error:
"Query component can be created only for partition from the same topology"
I'm trying to create the component on the same topology so i'm unsure why it's throwing this error.
If anyone has ever encountered this problem, how were you able to defeat it?
