Hi,
i try to figure out, how to split the permissions for users on the user profile featueres.
With the "Manage User Permissions" in User Profile Service Application i'm able to give only single users or groups a mysite, the extended profile or the social features (tags and notes).
But it seems, they depend on each other a bit!?
I would like to give only one of the permissions to a group. But when i give the "Use Personal Features" permission, this users see the "My Site" link in the user menu and the "My Profile" link. I thought the only got the "My Profile" link :(
If i gave them only the "Use Social Features", they wont be able to use them! They also need to have the "Use Personal Features" permission!
If i gave them only the "Create Personal Site" permission, they dont see the link "My Site" in user menu.
So all the permissions requier the "Use Personal Features". On top i can have them a mysite or using social features.
is this correct? can anyone rebuild this?
