SharePoint 2010 Server "Upgrade Required" Status

Hello,

I'm new to SharePoint 2010, and after much research, there's an issue I cannot find an answer to.

We setup an Index server and add it to the farm.  Both production and index server have Project Server 2010 installed.

The setup of the index server went okay with no errors, however, when I go to Central Administration > System Settings > Manage servers in this farm, the status of our index server reads "Upgrade Required."  When I run this command:

stsadm.exe -o localupgradestatus

There are two components that "need upgrade":

Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.Administration.ProjectSite
Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPServer

The thing is that when I go to the "Check product and patch installation status" page, the product versions on both machines are identical.

I've search for two days how to fix this "Upgrade Required" status but there's no information about how to "upgrade" them.

I ran the Windows update on the server to see if that would update whatever components needed to be updated, but that didn't change the status of the server.

What am I missing?  Any light you can shed on this will be greatly appreciated.

The Index server runs on:

Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter
Service Pack 1

Thank you.
