My Organization Chart not showing full reporting hierarch for logged in user

We have basic MySite functionalities turned on in our internal SharePoint farm.  We recently found that the My Organization Chart webpart on the righthand side of the MySite default page shows the full reporting structure fine if a user is viewing another user's profile.  However, any user browses to his/her own mysite would only see his/her immediate manager.  The Silverlight Organization Browser shows the user's own full reporting structure fine too (all the way up to the CEO), but the HTML View stops at the immediate manager again. 

Has anyone experienced this problem?  What might be the problem?
