I have searched high and low and keep on coming up with no good solution (maybe there isn't one):
Problem: I do not want a user to have full ownership permissions to be able to add / delete ~ act as a meeting chair for a meeting workspace.
Reason: users tend to "play" with the site structure and with the user groups and ownership of the meeting workspace site. I have already contained the site within a team site and stopped inheriting permissions, but do not wish to grant the right to the user who is chairing the meeting to change anything but the meeting and its occurrences.
I haven't been able to get any permission level other than full ownership of the site *above* the meeting to be enough for a user to add / delete meeting occurrences through outlook.
I created a custom permission level and tried adding everything that appears to be needed but NO DICE, the user can add but not delete.
I thought we left the "admin to all" attitude with windows 98? I would very much like to see a bug ticket on this as I believe it to be a rather large sharepoint permission hole.
Has anyone any similar experience? Solutions?
