Sharepoint 2010 - Workflows - Stuck in Starting

Hi Everyone

i create a workflow that was sending a email alert to a user when a new item has been added on a document library, when i added a new item on the document library, it does not send an email to the user and when i check the workflow, it is stuck in starting, why this is happening? what should i do for this to workout completely.
