User Profiles - search returns three records for each user?

Hi, I use SharePoint 2010.

In our My Site, Central Admin > UPA > Number of User Profiles shows up 3 times the actual number + when I search for a user John Smith, I get three results returned for each user.

E.g.
http://mysites/Person.aspx?guid=1BEE781E%2D5044%2D4B37%2D8862%2D1081216E299F  (Always throws User Not Found error)

http://mysites/Person.aspx?accountname=Domain%5CJSmith(Same as third result, works fine)

http://mysites/Person.aspx?accountname=Domain%5CJSmith(Same as second result, works fine.)

Any clue on how can I fix above please?
