Out of Box:Set List items to read only mode

Hi All,

       I have moss 2007 site with a list wich contains some items like(Start,Approach Date,Finish Date,Name,Number,Adress..etc) 

  And i need to make some list items to set "Read Only(Start,Approach Date,Finish Date) in NewForm.aspx,Edit Form.aspx,Display Form.asxp".

      As per condition I should have permission to  add,update the list itmes(Start,Approach Date,Finish Date).

Can any one help me how can I do it with Out-of -Box,Bcoz client hasn't provided me permission to work on Deisnger,Sandbox.
