In my situation, my SharePoint web application is installed on the Server A while the content is put in another database server called Server B. My system account can access both servers and I have enabled the search service on Server A already. However, when I try to search on the frontend (e.g. "Connect"), it shows a page:
We did not find any results for connect.
Suggestions:
- Ensure words are spelled correctly.
- Try using synonyms or related searches.
- Try broadening your search by searching from a different site.

I am not sure whether I have missed anything in the setup of this server as we have nevered tested the search function after setting up the server until now.
