Every forum post I'm finding on SP2010 and Foundation (and I've looked at this one: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/sharepoint2010setup/thread/32ad2700-8009-4636-880e-07acfca98a06 )
All seem to point to a button that we are not seeing on our site (the Stop Inheriting Permissions from Parent).
We have SharePoint 2010 Foundation Server setup, I'm sitting next to the SharePoint Farm admin and we've combed through (seemingly) every setting in SharePoint Central Admin. I've tried just going to my subsite -> site permissions settings and these are all the buttons I see (the farm admin account sees the same thing too),
Picture 1 illustrates what we see there:
Picture 2 (shown below) shows the parent permissions. Why do we not have the button or functionality to break permissions inheritance?
All I'm trying to do is restrict access to certain subsites to specific Active Directory Groups (which will be added in once we figure this issue out). So far, SP2010 Foundation seems incapable of doing so.
Thanks for any and all help.
Allan
