to Install SP 2010 Cumulative Update's or not

Hi, 

This looks like a controversial issue... 

Not getting a proper answer and looks like there are some mixed opinions on this.

All my clients are on SP1 but should i install the latest CU? 

Where do i get a best practice regarding this and what is your opinion?
