I'm with this situation:
We have a Project Server 2010 in two server, a Production Environment and a Development
Environment, either using a Server to the Application and a Server to the Database. The Dev Enviroment was corrupted, then the IT department decided to restore the virtual image of the Production, overwriting the Dev (We use VMWare).
I agreed with them, because in theory it would be easy to adjust... I would access the Configuration
Wizard, disconnect the old farm and create a new one pointing to the Development Database Server. But the world it's not so perfect.
When I try to open the Sharepoint Configuration Wizard, a failure message appears with this
message:
"error 26 - error locating server
/ instance specified"
Then I thought about changing the instance of the farm using some script in the Sharepoint
Management Shell, but I get this error:
"The local farm is not accessible.
Cmdlets are not registered with FeatureDependencyId"
And when trying to run any cmdlets get this message:
"Can not access the local farm.
The Verify that the local farm is configured enquiry.c, Currently available, que and you have the Appropriate permissions to access the database before trying again"
I already check my permissions. I'm using the Farm Administrator Account which is part of the Administrator Group of the Server, also I checked and the flag "SharePoint_Shell_Access" is ok to the "SharePoint_Config" Database.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do? Recalling that the machine is an exact copy of the current production environment that is working perfectly!
