Impact of stopping Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Workflow Timer Service at our SP Apps. server- because of "Workflow failed to start” some times.

Issue:

At SharePoint 2010, we have Custom Workflow. But "Workflow failed to start” some times. . After some R&D, Found the solution at below URLs,

As per the blogs, It seems.

"We need to stop theMicrosoft SharePoint Foundation Workflow Timer Service,  it is not recommended to have these service running on Application Server.

Lets say, I am stopping  Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Workflow Timer Service at our SP Apps. servers.

What could be the impact in APP servers and SharePoint Application.....? if we do this activity and any other impact on any Service application and Others...?
