Our designer created a custom site template, which I tweaked in Visual Studio to make it farm-scoped. It's basically a standard team site with some additional graphics, libraries etc.
Once I upload the .wsp file and deploy it as a farm solution, it appears across all site collections in the list of templates available for new sites.
However, we've now issued an updated version of the template which we want to use for all new sites. I can't delete/retract the old template, as it will break the sites that were created with it. So I simply want to hide it instead.
I've tried adding Hidden="TRUE" to the feature's onet.xml and feature.xml file in ..\14\TEMPLATE\features\featurename but the template is still visible to users, even after an iisreset.
Am I doing anything obviously wrong?
Thanks.
