Hi Guys,
I am in the process of upgrading our current WSS3 sharepoint site onto Sharepoint 2010 foundation which is installed on a new server.
I have also created a separate SQL server for the new sharepoint install.
I chose the database attach method for upgrading, so I took a backup of the wss3 database, restored it into a new database on the sql server and mounted the content database to the new sharepoint 2010 install.
For the most part of the upgrade everything looks ok. There are some issues. I have an existing custom list on wss3.0 which has over around 17,000 items. I changed the list view threshold to 30,000 items and when i acess the list on the 2010 site I get the following error message:
Field type FilteredLookup is not installed properly. Go to the list settings page to delete this field.

When going into the list settings, it says the filtered lookup column is iinvalid, and the link is greyed out with the only option of deleting.
I tried creating a new lookup column on the same list which fails, but works fine when on another list and on new sites.
Can anybody shed some light on why this might be the case?
