Search Service App deleted - still Events Viewer has errors referencing the non-existent database

Hi, I use SharePoint 2010.

1. I deleted an old (not-in-use) Search Service Application using stsadm –o deleteconfigurationobject
2. I deleted the associated databases manually.

After one week:

I see error in Events Log that references the database for deleted SSA:

SQL Database 'Search_Service_Application_DB_71f9d3cf77694cb9b56e12e0617d7af4' on SQL Server instance 'SharePoint_SQL' not found. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below.

Cannot open database "Search_Service_Application_DB_71f9d3cf77694cb9b56e12e0617d7af4" requested by the login. The login failed.
Login failed for user 'TTD\svc-admin'.

What exactly may be causing a call to that deleted database? How to fix?

Thanks so much.
