Sharepoint 2010 rssharepoint.msi not installing

hello,

when i tried to install rssharepoint.msi of sql server 2008 sp1 there is error "please ensure microsoft technologies are installed" ,but when i tried to install rssharepoint.msi addin of sql server 2008 r2 is getting installed.

why?

please help.
