Hi. Can anyone help me out with this, please?
I've just set up a new SP2010 install, and created the first site collection, but I'm having problems with Authentication. I cant work out quite what's happening:
- If I log into the server hosting SP I can open a browser on the server and open the site without being asked for a login.
- If I select Sign in as a Different User and choose an alternative account (that has Contribute rights to the site), I'm asked for a login, and it fails.
- If I then try to sign in with my own account again, the login fails.
- If I close down the browser and open a new browser on the server again, I can access the site without being asked for a login.
- If I open a browser on my local PC and try to open the site across the network I'm asked for a login, and it fails.
Our user accounts come from AD, and NTLM was selected as the authentication method during the SP install.
I'm under some pressure to show the site, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
