WSS 3.0 to Foundation 2010 Content DB Upgrade Problem

I'm upgrading a WSS 3.0 server to 2010 foundation.  The Content DB is 26gb so I had to use RBS.  I'm in the process of try to migrate the content DB from the windows internal DB to SQL express 2008 with RBS installed.  The migration gets about 75% completed and then errors out with the error that the content db is in single user mode and has a user already connected to it.

Here's the problem.  The existing content db is in multi user mode until the migration starts and the migration puts the db into single user/read only mode.  I've tried this migration from the sharepoint configuration wizard as well as the "Move-SPBlobStorageLocation" powershell command.
