Migrate SharePoint 2010 Managed Metadata Service Database to a new domain farm

Hi,

Scenario:

I have a new SP 2010 farm in Domain B and i need to migrate the data in this farm from another existing farm in Domain A. I have already migrated the web applications root site content db and other content dbs to the new farm using content db backup/restore method.

Then comes the tricky part where i need to migrate the managed metadata service database to the new farm because this database contains so many groups, term sets and terms and we cant afford to loose them. So to achieve this, I created a new managed metadata service in the new farm, then I took the backup of Managed Metadata service database in SQL Server from existing farm and restored it in new farm.

Then in the new farm, I stopped the MMS. Opened the properties of MMS Application and pointed this service application to the restored db. Then I started the MMS.

But when i go to the any of the site collection (where term sets were created in existing farm) in new farm , I do not see the corresponding groups and term sets there.

Any idea what is going wrong here? Please advise. Thanks.
