Can Sharepoint 2010 utilize imaging software?

    Using SharePoint 2010 Server and the UI I created an intranet.

    Everything worked on the intranet.

    However, from time to time I would make perform a backup
just in case something went wrong while testing.

    As you know when testing something eventually will go wrong.

    So I reached for my trusted backup and performed a restore.

    After restoring things never worked the way the did before
the restore.

    For example, even though I perform an "iisreset /noforce"
after the restore, still everytime a user logs on they are
prompted with a page that says:

"Sign In

    Select the credentials you want to use to logon to this
Sharepoint site:

    Dropdown Box (contains one selection "Windows Authentication")"

    And then there are other things that don't work the same
as they did, especially in terms of user having access that
they were given specific permissions for.

    I think that if I created an image using something like "GHost"
or some other image software I can eliminate the problems that
I am having after using Restore. 

    Can Sharepoint 2010 Server use images to be restored
from instead of using the UI Backup and Restore from Central Admin?
