Install SharePoint Server 2010 on Windows 7 64 bit - Instructions are wrong

Downloaded en_sharepoint_server_2010_x64_dvd_518634.iso and burned a CD

read instructions on http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee554869(office.14).aspx

Step 2: Install the Prerequisites for SharePoint2010

 1 Copy setup.exe to C:\SharePointFiles  OK

 2 C:\SharePointFiles\OfficeServer /extract:c:/SharePointFiles  failed - so didn't referencing setup.exe either from C: or DVD failed.

The instructions are just plain wrong - need help.
