'View Workflow Reports' link gone missing after upgrade to Sharepoint 2013.

We recently upgraded from 2007 to 2013 via the DB attach and upgrade method. After the upgrade I noticed the the 'View Workflow Reports' link that appears above the Workflow history details is no longer there in 2013.

I have not yet installed Workflow manager for 2013. Is that causing the issue. Shouldn't 2010 workflow features all be available without workflow manager?

Also tried deactivate/activate the Reporting feature at site collection level, but it didn't help.

I then tried accessing the View WF Reports URL in 2013 site directly(copied from 2007 site) and lo and behold the page is there but it just lists the name of the workflows without any reports(like activity duration report and cancellation report)

How to get the 'View Workflow Reports' link back again and how do you get reports back.Please share your thoughts.
