Cannot deploy a shared datasource to Sharepoint for SSRS

Hi!

Im having an issue loading my SSRS reports onto Sharepoint 2010. Its set up in SP integrated mode and I have a site set up 

http://<servername>/sites/Information   

I am able to load ssrs (2008 r2) reports on if the datasources are embedded. These work fine. (im deploying from BIDS)

but when I try to deploy a shared datasource, the report fails

with the following error message:

Error 1 The path of the item '/http://<servername>/sites/Information/data connections' is not valid. The full path must be less than 260 characters long; other restrictions apply. If the report server is in native mode, the path must start with slash.

my deployment properties are:

targetDataSourceFolder      /http://<servername>/sites/Information/data connections

TargetServerURL

http://<servername>/ReportServer_SPSSRS87

Can anyone help?
