I'm trying to create a BDC service app on my SharePoint Foundation 2010 server. The service is running on the server and when I go to manage service applications and add a new business data connectivity service, run through the settings, click OK the silverlight window appears saying "Processing" and stays there unless I close the window. If I close the window and go back to central admin > manage service applications the BDC service app is listed but stopped. I also notices in SQL Server management studio there is no database listed for the BDC.
If I either click the link to access the service application or highlight & choose manage I receive an error stating "The load balancer is not provisioned. Verify the load balancer was provisioned successfully before retrieving endpoint addresses." In the ULS logs with the correlation ID I find the same error "The BDC Service application BDC1 is not accessible. The full exception text is: The load balancer is not provisioned. Verify the load balancer was provisioned successfully before retrieving endpoint addresses."
This is on a 64bit SBS 2011 server with SharePoint Foundation 2010, Search Server Express, and SPF2010 April CU, acting as the DC & Exchange server.
