Video file is not launching in a player when you click on the item from sharepoint 2010 document library

The DCE file types are not launching in player..

The DCE file(dce is the file extension) is our company proprietary file format for video clips. When clicking on the item from sharepoint 2010 document library to open, it should launch the DCE Player (which is installed on all our desktops).

Verified below

1. Central admin settings Changed "Browser File handling" settings to Permissive/strict (tried both)

2. Added the below entry in 14\TEMPLATE\XML\docicon.xml file

<Mapping Key="dce" Value="icwmv.gif"/>

Request you pls provide the solution ..

Below example is the detail explanation of my problem..

I have 2 files in the sharepoint document library as below

1.  .wmv file(Test_WMV_File.wmv). if we click on this file the file will launch in windows media player and its working as expected..

2. .dce file(Test DCE file.dce), if we click on the file the file is not launching in the DCE player, instead the file contents opening in the browser it slef as below
