Move full sharepoint 2010 farm to new hardware

Moving WFE/APP and databases to new hardware... Currently doing the test migration.

Used the "move all databases" scenario for moving the databases, what is the correct procedure to move the WFE/APP? When installing Sharepoint on the new server and then connecting the configuration wizard to the newly moved config database causes the wizard to connect to the old WFE/APP server as well.
