Add server to farm with SP2 + Dec 2013 CU

I want to add a server to an existing farm that has SP2 and Dec CU installed.

Before I can get through the configuration wizard on the new server to add it to the farm, it recognizes that Dec CU hasn't been installed.

Can I install Sharepoint Server 2010 with SP2 and the Dec CU on the new serverbefore running the configuration wizard? Will the Dec CU recognize the SharePoint Server 2010 with SP2 installation?
