I have a project that will consist of:
5 large lists using BCS and SQL Server with 1 database and 5 tables
5 infopath form libraries (using Infopath filler) which will all be large as well. These Infopath forms can have a repeated table in it with 50 rows of data.
I understand the list view 2000 limit and can hold millions of items.
approval workflow when an infopath form is created.
Can SharePoint really handle something like this with these requirements? If I follow all the best practices in managing large lists or infopath libraries, can sharepoint really handle these processes effeciently? Any experiences out there on a sharepoint project that processes several infopath forms a day with several fast growing lists? What are some of the most biggest site collections you have heeard of? any accounting systems type of projects created in sharepoiont successfully? The customer does have the proper hardware requirements or will scale out if need be. I am sure there will need to be some sort of retention policies set on documents that are several years old.
