Hi,
Our SharePoint 2010 farm is a little wonky. There was one point where a second server was added to the farm, but it was removed by being removed with no warning. Now it's just one server, but ever since then, we haven't been able to delete service applications. Whenever we try, it throws an error that the Topology service isn't running -- it wasn't really affecting us until we just (barely) applied SP2. After running the Product Configuration wizard, Sharepoint is failing to load because it cannot create the connection point in AD. I've verified the access security in ASDI Edit, and I've even used Powershell to try making a connection point (but I didn't know what to exactly put there, so I promptly deleted it), and the account I'm using definitely has access to edit it.
What I've been able to find out is that, in fact, the Topology service's URI is completely blank when I do a get-SPTopologyServiceApplication | select URI.
Is there any way to specify the URI for the Topology service??
Or any other suggestions are also super helpful.
