Download Counts

Hello,

I recently became a sharepoint admin (newbie) and on of the first projects I want to work on is how to tell how many users, specific users (if possible) are downloading my excel reports.  So if John Smith downloaded an excel/tableau report 3 time, I could report John Smith 3 Times and dates.  Does this functionality exist?
